Effects of Pre-Treatments and Conservation Conditions on Seed Viability and Germination of Two Varieties of an Endangered Species Anacyclus pyrethrum (L.) Link (Asteraceae)

This research presents, for the first time, a study of seed germination two varieties, ‘Anacyclus pyrethrum var. (L.) Link’ and depressus (Ball.) Maire’, an endemic endangered medicinal species listed in IUCN red list as Anacyclus Link. Our objective was to provide information their protection well sustainable development strategy, by understanding whether seeds germinate easily or have very specific requirements, storage conditions provided were sufficiently favorable species. A varieties conducted on lots 25 each variety/treatment. Five treatments used break dormancy, which chemical scarification with sulphuric acid (H2SO4), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) potassium nitrate (KNO3); hot water (80 °C); cold at 4 °C.
